Assalamualaikum, I was recently granted divorce. I was researching and came across that, A divorce is given by the husband and Khul is when they both are consensual towards the divorce. Our divorce was mutual. During the research, it was mentioned if the divorce is mutual then the waiting (iddat) period is one month (one cycle sitting) and if the husband divorces you (talaq) then its 3months (3 cycle sitting). Since my divorce was mutual and we have been living separately from about 7 months. What is my iddat period? Different sites have different input and i do not wish to mess this up, i want to be 100% sure of my iddat time. Jazakallah.
